Hello. It's been a busy time and there have been some changes, so I wanted to update you all about Reflexology and Hypnotherapy availability.
I have a new job in Bristol staring in the New Year and with this in mind my session times are changing. I have started to work at the Beehive on a Saturday morning, although I can still offer a Thursday evening depending on room availability. However, because of working closer to home I am able to offer evening sessions and Monday and Tuesday daytime sessions that will take place at my home space in Staple Hill/Kingswood.
Things are heating up at The Beehive and a recent voucher offer has seen plenty of new faces coming through the Beehive doors. Please check out the Beehive website to see the latest news from them. We are going to be outside the practice this Friday evening from 5pm, weather permitting, as Keynsham will be turning on their Christmas lights. Come along and have a Reflexology taster session or some relaxation and welcome in the Christmas cheer!
Talking of which, tomorrow is Black Friday and the Christmas fervour starts with vengeance. But BEWARE......, monitor your stress levels because we all know that the madness of Christmas has an uncanny way of taking hold and dragging us into unexpected spending, worry and chaos whilst brussel sprout seeking and turkey hunting! Just remember that taking time to relax is imperative. So make time for yourself, be gentle but firm with boundaries and focus on having a holiday period that is relaxing and refreshing for all.
And if you need extra support, you can always come and visit me! Relaxation is guaranteed!
And what a glorious morning it is! I was eating breakfast whilst watching the plane trails in the clear blue sky, whilst the sun rose. Gorgeous.
As those of you who are part of Facebook you will have seen that the Beehive have changed their Facebook page to The Beehive Natural Health Practice. Please have a look, like and share it. There are going to be some interesting developments within the practice, so keep checking in.
If you are able to this Sunday why not pop along to the Fry's club in Keynsham? The Beehive will be there to give you a taster of their wares. I can't make it for the day, but will be going along to support them.
Details as shown below:

Just a reminder.....
The sun will be shining and even more so in Keynsham tomorrow, so come along and have a chat with the Beehive Practice and see what delights we have on offer. I shall be offering reflexology taster sessions and these are the other delights taking place:
"Keynsham Food Festival is taking place this Saturday, with plenty of goodies on offer for all palettes and tastes. Weather permitting, we will be in the front courtyard at The Beehive Practice on Keynsham High Street, with the full range of Hive & Herbals Candles, lotions, balms, tinctures and cordials as well as our own Bee Scentsational Aromatherapy Candles. Some of our therapists will be there and may even be in a position to offer cheeky little cut price taster sessions if you have time to spare. Come and say hello!"
Hope to see you there!
Come and have a free reflexology taster session!
I am pleased to be able to offer taster sessions at the Beehive Practice on the 3rd of October - come along, say hello and have a nifty and relaxing foot massage. For those of you who have never experienced reflexology before, come and give it a try. For those of you who have, come and have 20 mins of relaxation and bring the family with you!
Why should you bother?
"Reflexology is a complementary therapy that works alongside orthodox medicine. It may be carried out on the feet or the hands. There are 7,000 plus nerve endings on the feet which feedback information to the spinal cord and the brain. This stimulation brings about the relaxation response via the parasympathetic nervous system, providing the right environment for change to take place for the client or patient. During a reflexology treatment points on the feet (or hands) are stimulated using a specific pressure massage technique. As a holistic therapy reflexology treats the whole person rather than symptoms they are experiencing at that moment in time. If, for example, they are suffering with lower back pain they may get relief from this whilst at the same time noticing that their overall health improves, they may feel more energetic and sleep more soundly. The responses to treatment are as individual as the person being treated".
Then come along and I look forward to meeting you on the 3rd of October, at The Beehive Practice in lovely Keynsham.
Then why not pop into Keynsham Food Festival at the local Scout Hut (near the large council car park) which is also taking place on Saturday.
Tomorrow is fast approaching and my stomach is letting me know that I am excited and at the same time slightly nervous about starting my (formal) journey as a "therapist". So, here is the invitation. Join us if you can as you can guarantee that there will be a friendly welcome and plenty of laughter!
"The Beehive is pleased to announce that it will be holding an ‘Open Day’ to mark its official opening.
On Friday 28 August 2015, between the hours of 10am and 5pm, public and therapists alike are welcome to come to the practice to see what we have to offer.
Whether you are looking for a specific therapy, a place to work as a therapist or some answers to any health or well-being questions, everyone is most welcome to drop in and meet us.
The current therapists will be on hand throughout the day to answer questions or explain their work, whilst our Director, Andy, can help with queries regarding joining the practice.
We promise you a warm welcome and “no hard sell” (we don’t do that).
See you at The Beehive, 33A High Street, Keynsham, BS31 1DP – find us above Swintons Insurance!"
Sadly the holidays are coming to an end. The children are getting ready to return to school and the beautifully quiet and relaxing French countryside is now a distant memory............
However, I am a step closer to starting at The Beehive Practice and working with some amazing practitioners - take a look at the website - in gorgeous and relaxing surroundings. I can't wait!
So, here is where I stick my neck on the line and face my fear of putting myself out there and promoting myself. From the 1st of September 2015 I will be working at The Beehive Practice on a Thursday evening, 5pm until 9pm. I will continue to offer Reflexology and Hypnotherapy from my home therapy room on a Thursday and Friday daytime between 9.30am and 3pm. I have also started to work in Newport, South Wales, on a Tuesday afternoon/evening.
My website that was co-created by the beautiful Leora Sharp, the Webmistress of Bath is officially opened for your perusal. I hope that you can take time to read it and any (gentle) feedback will be gratefully received. Setting this up has been a HUGE learning curve, with lots more learning to come I imagine, like trying to add this blog to my Facebook page!
Wow! Time flies. I've had the new website for a couple of weeks and this is the first time that I've managed to get to it. Summer holidays and children in the house can get in the way of business development. There are some changes that I will be making on the website, if I can learn how to edit (!), so keep a look out for the changes and any feedback will be most welcome.
It's been a busy couple of weeks, but the big news is that The Beehive Practice at Keynsham is soon to open and I shall be having a room there, hopefully for one evening a week to start with. More news on that once it is confirmed.
So, pop along to the practice website to see what is on offer at http://www.thebeehivepractice.co.uk/
Gentle Changes aim to offer hypnotherapy and reflexology at the practice, so please share the link and pop down to Keynsham and have a look.
Until my next blog post, thanks for reading. Enjoy. x
I've just launched my website.
Please return to read about topics that I look forward to sharing with you.
